Bats
Bats
Be Brave. Say what you want to say. Let the words fall out. Be Brave.
Lookie here! I’m so happy! Look what I found on Minecraft Forum! I didn’t write the poem, only the post above:

You call that, inspiration. Writers are sometimes said to be liars, why? SOME people think we just make things up and publish it. No. We are a community of people who share what we know, what we don’t and what we will. We turn them into stories and wait for the reader to find the key, writers make chests. Billions of them, with things locked inside that are better than gold and diamonds could do us. We fit our words into packs and when someone finds it, they learn. And they just keep learning, because, that is a something that will never cease to exist. We are writers and we have the right to share and to help and grow, that is what we do: Grow. Water our words with secrets and fulfillments and lessons and life.

From Dust
Dejers
A pen touches paper.
a world forms from dust.
Block by block
until the result is touched.
A new world hovers
waiting to be seen.
The page is turned
Truths are gleaned.
As minds explore
these strange new realms
A fire is kindled
Without a sound
A pen touches paper
As worlds form from dust.
A writer is formed
To say what they must.

I’m very happy. I actually inspired someone with some post I made. :) :D
I just realized all the posts I made when I was younger from about two to three years ago, are still on this site. How I regret them so. D:
Can I please bug you with it a bit more? These are all the bits and pieces about my illustration being a part of Neil Gaiman’s amazing project A Calendar Of Tales. You can download the complete book here, please do, it is magic itself, I promise. My illustration is for July’s Tale, and can be found on 24 page:) So happy and so proud to be a part of it!
I love how good this is, and how happy it’s been making people…
:) So happy this is all out. I had the most breathtaking time just staring at each photo or lying down and staring at the ceiling. Listening to the audio. These stories do wonders.

Not scary. No eye-buttons. Mostly I’m just talking about art, and moving on, and looking back on what we made with the Keep Moving project and the Calendar of Tales.

Why I love buttons
Alright, NOW I can finally announce what I’ve been keeping bottled up for ages!
It is worth noting that this is the most exciting and fantastic thing that has ever happened to me. I’ve always dreamed about illustrating a Gaiman book, and this is more than I ever could have hoped for.
Neil Gaiman’s Calendar of Tales website is finally up, and I am very flattered and very honored to announce that he chose my illustration for November. I remember finding out while I was at work and sitting in front of my computer and crying on the library books. Now the kind comment he’s written is making me cry again. I’m a bit of a mess right now.
I don’t think I can express how honored I feel to have been part of this, and how happy I am that I was able to give back a little. Neil’s work is incredibly inspirational to me. I have been lucky enough to meet him twice (and Amanda Palmer once as well!), and I cannot say enough how wonderful they are.
Please do go and look at all the wonderful submissions, and check September for my friend Katie’s submission!
And again Neil (I already tweeted this at you, but I’m going to shout it into the void of the internet yet again in the hope that it will reach you), thank you a thousand times! I can’t say that enough.
I cannot contain my excitement!
I have suffered book pain syndrome and books have suffered reader pain syndrome. That’s how we like it.

For the record, Neil Gaiman’s hair is soft and fluffy ^_^Reblogged for the curious.
